Revelations of the day

Just a quick note to document my revelations from today.

1) What does it mean to really be in Christ?
2) What does being an Apostle mean?
3) Try harder to not squelch the Holy Spirit

What does it mean to really be in Christ?

The latest Eby came in this week. I started reading it yesterday. I'm really getting the message of being IN Christ. The changes He makes in us are really so we can be IN Christ. So what is IN Christ? Terry put it very well today - picture being elevated high above things, sitting in Christ's lap. You can feel His heart beating. He is showing you things, revealing things to you. That is being in Christ. Jump off His lap and you are no longer in Christ.

The whole key to a 100 fold calling is to be IN Christ as much as possible; doing His will and not your own.

What does being an Apostle really mean?

Many today hold the title of Apostle. As a card carrying Baptist, growing up I assumed the last Apostle died nearly 2000 years ago. Recently I have found out that there are real live living people that are called as Apostles. One thing I have found out is that true Apostles called by God are few and far between; however, there are many people that are building their own "kingdoms" that they aren't really following Christ.

Being an Apostle really means turning your life completely over to Him. He can use use as He sees fit. That may be as an evangilist, preacher, prophet, or even Bishop; however, it is up to Him to lead us. If you are in the driver's seat, there is no room for Christ to lead.

Try harder to not squelch the Holy Spirit

The worst thing I have been doing lately is squelch the Holy Spirit. By squelch I mean, try and take control when He is in control. I think I know the direction things need to go and so I press forward in a direction, assuming I have the annointing.

I really need to work in stopping and waiting for the annointing before I move forward or change directions. This really is hard for me because I have always "known" the right thing

This is the list of what I have learned this week. God will keep working on me and I will hopefully keep growing.

Abiding in Christ,
RBT
